Exclusive Anatomy | Resolution Ratio? Feel? Attenuation Properties? A VINNO engineer tells you which ultrasound probe to chose?
April 19-2018

White Valentine’s Day has recently ended. Quite a few lovers were out and about holding hands. The ultrasound doctor in the administrative office sighed: “What I touch most each day are not examinee hands but probes.”

Probes are the intimate war buddies of ultrasound doctors. Is the resolution ratio high? Does it have a good feel? Will it attenuate? All of these factors influence diagnoses. The quality of a probe is primarily determined by the following components:

Acoustical Lens: The acoustical lens makes sure that the ultrasonic beam is effectively focused, achieving convergence of the beam.

Matching Layers: In general there are two to three layers. The matching layers are used to achieve acoustic impedance matching between the human body and the transducer, improving performance.

Transducer: The transducer is cut out and made from multiple crystal/single crystal piezoelectric material. It initiates energy conversion in order to transmit and receive ultrasound wave information.

Backing Material: Absorbs the reverse direction vibrations of the crystal and shortens the ringing pulse in order to improve axial resolution.

Cable: The tail end is equipped with a connector assembly that transmits the collected ultrasound wave singles to the mainframe.

So how should a doctor select a good probe? A senior ultrasound engineer recommends: the most crucial thing is to look at the piezoelectric material. Probes that use ordinary piezoelectric ceramics (PCT) have low resolution ratios. Composite piezoelectric ceramics and single crystal materials have a higher resolution ratio. Secondly, look at craftsmanship. What technological performance guarantees has it passed? Then there is the design. High quality probes have a lightweight feel. You won’t feel fatigued using them.

The Technological Advantages of VINNO Probes

Top Quality World Materials, High Resolution Ratios

VINNO selects top quality materials from around the world. VINNO uses composite piezoelectric ceramics and single crystals to improve image penetrability. At the same time VINNO uses advanced XTech technology, which can effectively improve resolution ratios by 20%-40%.

Expert Review: The image presentation is so superb! Even the blood flow at the fingertips is fine and smooth. The blood in the image is plentiful yet does not spill over.

Exquisite Craftsmanship , High Reliability

The higher the frequency of the probe the thinner the thickness of the piezoelectric crystal, and the easier it is for the probe to break. VINNO is one of the few companies in the world that is able to make a 23MHz super high frequency probe. VINNO’s technological craftsmanship is on the cutting edge throughout the world. While at the same time using world class piezoelectric materials to improve reliability, VINNO also lowers damage via a non-needle type interface design.

Expert Review: After using VINNO ultrasound for a few years the performance of the probe has had nearly no attenuation. Images are still extremely clear. It is on par with with imported equipment.

Ergonomic Design, Good Feel

The design accords with the usage habits of the human body, and can effectively improve diagnosis and treatment efficiency and lessen muscle strain. Considerate design features including the direction indications, an anti-slip handle, and distinguished chromatic circles make doctors exclaim how user-friendly it is.

Expert Review: The probe is light and graceful to use when scanning abdomen and small organs. I do not feel tired after using it for a long period of time. The bulk probe has a good feel to it. It is just like high-end imported machines. Sophisticated!

An Exclusively Super Wide Probe, One Scan is All You Need

An average probe has 128 array elements. VINNO’s super wide probe possesses 256 array elements. It can effectively expand the visual field of image collection. With one scan it can acquire a complete image. At the same time, VINNO has specially installed an appropriate frequency targeted toward the mammary glands and the thyroid gland, making the image quality better.

Expert Review: It is very convenient to use. It can be specially used in specialized departments. The resolution ratio and the depth of probe are both excellent. You dont have to scan back and forth multiple times. It greatly improves efficiency.

The continuous improvement of ultrasound technology has made ultrasound diagnosis and treatment increasingly highly efficient and precise. Creating value for the ultrasound industry has always been VINNO’s vision. We hope all of you select a nice probe!
